KETO Meal Plan

When I first heard of the keto diet I thought it was a joke. A reason to eat cheese and bacon… sure, call it a “diet.” However, when I looked more into it, there’s a lot more to it than that (obviously) and the fats that you’re supposed to be loading up on should come from healthy fats like dairy products, almonds, and coconut oil. We all know I still eat bacon and some probably “less healthy” fats but everything in moderation, am I right? I will also say that keto is not a plan nor a diet method that you should aim for long term or as a lifestyle. It isn’t necessarily ideal for your body to be in ketosis for long term. Many diets are that way and will work better if you alternate them either with other diet style or just with healthy eating an an active lifestyle. My absolute favorite part about eating a loose keto diet is that it really brings into perspective how many mindless carbohydrates I would eat on a regular basis. Like, not even hungry, just eating it because it’s there. When I go back to my regular eating habits I try to keep this in mind and it really has made me stick closer to better portion sizes for carbohydrate-rich foods. Okay, okay, I know you all mainly just care about the actual meal plan so here it is. But, first I do want to share that I’m not a die-hard keto-er. I don’t count macros and I probably don’t always reach my fat content for the day so this meal plan may need to be altered if you’re a hardcore keto-follower.
